Zukunft-Innovation

The Challenge

“Zukunft Innovation” is the concept of a platform that was created by Unic in collaboration with 3M Austria. The concept, started from the idea of crowd sourcing, implies the development of a communication platform that allows companies (that need innovation) and innovators (that have a lot of ideas how to make better products for example) to develop great innovations.
Unic Austria asked us to collaborate with them on a Drupal based community concept for Zukunft Innovation Platform.

The Process

For this unique concept we provided custom Drupal software development.

Because “Zukunft Innovation” is all about communication and community we had to make possible the interaction between the two types of users (innovators and companies). We created a user-centered platform and build the possibility for companies and innovators to “work” together.

We built functionalities that are user-friendly both companies registered on platform and for the innovators that places new ideas.
The main thing that the web team was focused on for this new platform was integrating the feature that allows innovators to interact with each other. We implemented a technology that rewards innovators with some value point for their idea.

The “value points” feature is very important for both the innovators and the companies. Users can invest their “value point” to vote a good idea (that’s how some ideas can get through top ten). In this way, companies do not have to select from thousands of ideas, they will select only from the best top ten.

Another feature is the application called “Hot or Not” (where innovators get two random ideas that they can rate with “Hot “or “Not”).That is another way for companies to reach only the best ideas.

The first three ideas are awarded, and the top one may be implemented by the company. We integrated a feature whereby companies can post jobs and events for innovators

The Results

In the end we were able to meet and exceed the expectations of our client and collaborators.
Zukunft Innvoation became a huge community that brings together the companies and the innovators that have the ideas.
